What we're looking for
An execution-driven and self-motivated Brand Storyteller to join our marketing team! We are expecting you to play a key role in the development of branded content and campaigns—from ideation to creation to execution—across multiple channels for both new and edited content.
Ultimately, you should be able to strategically and creatively capture the attention and curiosity of decision-makers in top tech enterprises across Africa. Storytelling for us is about building a narrative and journey related to our company where the customer is the hero.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Writing, publishing and distributing short-form content for social media, web, print, digital advertising, email, press releases and other media
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of content through data analysis preparing analytical reports for internal presentations and feedback
- Working with agency and creative teams to create and direct video content with a strong, clear creative vision
- Maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone through a variety of channels, including but not limited to digital/social, newsletters, lead generation materials, internal brand messaging materials, and more
- Ensuring the highest quality standards for content and that our content is compliant with legal and branding regulations, if necessary
- Researching the marketing and messaging strategies of our competitors, and remaining up-to-date with industry-specific journals, press releases, white papers, media outlets and other 3rd party content to inform our strategy and messaging
You’re a fit if
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in social media and content marketing
- You have a portfolio demonstrating creative experience and strategic thinking across all media
- You are both an execution-driven person and a creative thinker
- You are a natural storyteller with a buzzing social media life
- You are a team player with strong and engaging communication and presentation skills
- You are able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects at once
- Experience in a B2B tech startup is an advantage
